About NTRF (Tea Board)

National Tea Research Foundation (NTRF) jointly set up by Tea Board, Tea Industry and NABARD and recognized by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) is a research body functioning in the Tea Board since 1988. The Chairman, Tea Board is ex-officio President of NTRF. NTRF provides funds for innovative research on all aspects of tea throughout the country in different renowned research institutes and universities. NTRF was created at the initiative of the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India with a onetime subscription from tea industry and a grant from NABARD to build a corpus of Rupees Ten Crores.
